Radio Flyer

The year was 1951, my first birthday.
My uncle gave me a red Radio Flyer – what a present!
I had room for myself, my cousin, and my doll to ride.
My older cousins got to pull us. It was lots of fun. As
I grew I remember the wagon helping us carry a bucket
of water from the spring, across the field, and to the
house or taking it on a trip to the corner store for a
bag of groceries. Having a Radio Flyer was like having
a good friend who grew up with me. Thank you for the memory. |
